JOB DESCRIPTION
Quality Control Inspector
Stainless Process Systems, http://www.stainlessprocesssystems.com/ a small, rapidly growing hi-tech ASME stainless steel fabricator for the semi-conductor, aerospace, food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries seeks a skilled, full time (overtime required - may include Saturdays), Quality Control Inspector.
THE ROLE:
As a Stainless Process Systems Quality Control Inspector, you evaluate product and workmanship quality requirements, designs, specifications, production lines, assembly and operations to assure on-time delivery of our world class metal fabricated products. You are a quality expert with a proven track record of being hands on and establishing quality management systems from the ground up considering stringent finish and quality requirements unique to customers and their respective industries. With your engineering, manufacturing, and/or metal fabrication background you are able to define, measure, analyze, improve and control the full manufacturing process from concept through to execution and customer delivery. REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or 3 years of relevant work experience

Experience driving compliance to ASME, AS9001 (Aerospace Quality Standards) and training in QC or engineering

Detail oriented inspection of materials, components, production records, and finished highly cosmetic products.

Must be able to read engineering blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.

Work with management to constantly maintain and improve quality assurance and quality control within the entire facility

Inspection of materials, in-process, components, production records and finished goods

Complete various reports including factory acceptance testing, supplier corrective action, non-conformance, ASME

Must be able to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, surface profilometers

Knowledge of weld quality and symbols used in fabrication

Experience in final assembly and finish buy off prior to shipment (ASME-A +)

Attend weekly management production meetings to provide feedback on quality issues, internal and/or external customer feedback

Review and supervise the quality control manual and ensure all quality control procedures are understood and followed on all projects daily

Must be highly detail oriented and able to convey to all levels of management on status of production and final assembly. Must be a proven leader who can ensure that company quality policies are adhered to for all projects on the manufacturing floor at all times.

Perform production audits, deliver reports and provide direction for correction

Experience using Shoptech Software a plus
