Mark Hyman, Ph.D.
Mark Hyman, Ph.D. is the founder of Stainless Process Systems (SPS). He oversees the engineering, strategic development, and sales operations of the company.
Before he founded SPS in 2007, Mark was the founder and president of Alliance Finishing and Manufacturing, a company that specializes in electroplating and engineering services for aerospace, military and commercial component manufacturers. He leads both companies today, relying on his 30+ years of experience in the manufacturing and electroplating industries.
From our home in Oxnard, CA, the heart of Ventura County's industrial & technology corridor, SPS supports our customers' long-term precision equipment fabrication needs, as well as the manufacturing and repair services they require on-site at their facility.
Mark works directly with customers to provide a high level of support and requirements comprehension while focusing on a solution-oriented approach throughout the engineering, fabrication and delivery process. This has led SPS to become the market leader in California for pressure vessel manufacturing and on-site engineering solutions.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) and a Ph.D. in Materials and Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

SPS brings together two manufacturing sites totalling over 40,000 sq. ft into one company that provides the following solutions to enhance the biotech and hi-tech industries.
Custom stainless steel equipment fabrication for all types of processing and ancillary equipment in Pharmaceutical, Semi-conductor, Aerospace, and Food and Beverage industries. Repairs and alterations of process equipment under the authority of ASME "U" or "R" stamp requirements.
Either on-site or in our own plant: electropolishing and passivation services certified in accordance with ASTM-B-912 and 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Engineering services to ASME standards for fabrication or repair of pressure vessels and other non-rated tanks and equipment.
Our on-site machining capabilities include CNC mills and lathes, waterjet, robotic welders, sheet rolling, shearing and forming machinery, etc. to aid our customers in achieving their processing equipment needs or plant equipment requirements.
